Weekend with Jaki, what an adventure

So this past weekend I finally got to hang out with Jaki! It has been lets see... 3 years? since I actually saw her. I think that last time she was in H-town was when I got my super awesome scar freshman year. So this weekend obviously Jaki and I had to make up for lost time. First she visited me at my house in Ithaca. She seriously needed a dose of the outdoors since she is living in the desert right now, so I took her and Reese to Treman Falls.

Look at the pretty fall colors! It has gotten even more beautiful recently and I will post those pictures soon.

Here is me at the top of Treman Falls after a heavy rainstorm! It was crazy!! You couldn't believe how loud it was.

After this hike I managed to convince Ian that Reese needs a Halloween costume and Jaki has a lot of expertise in this area, so we went shopping at Target and Reese is going to be a Jack-o-lantern!!! He is so cute! This is his costume test-run. He did really well and I think actually likes the shirt.
So... after Jaki got her fill of Ithaca and the wild, we ended up taking a 5 hour bus ride to NYC to meet one of her friends from USC. All I have to say after staying in his apartment for 2 days was.... man am I glad that I don't have to live in NYC. However his apartment did have an amazing view from the rooftop, especially since there were no guard rails (so you just stayed far away from the edge.) Jaki and I took awesome jumping pictures up there
I love how this ends up looking!

This is how the roof actually looks (featuring a wonderful candid photo by Stathi, jaki's friend)
It was really cool to just hang out up there and just look at the city views. Very impressive, but I'm still not convinced that view is worth living in the city apartments for.

This is a view from one of the bars that we went to the first night. It's a great skyline view of Manhattan. It was a bit of a snobby bar, but the view was gorgeous!!! And you could walk around the outside and see almost the entire city.

Day 2:

Jaki and I got up early to get student rush seats to see the Broadway show Promises Promises staring Sean Hayes (from Will & Grace) and Kristin Chenoweth (Who is also on Glee). The tickets were only $30 (although they were in the nosebleed section) but amazing none the less.

Before the show started we went to Central Park and ate lunch. It is actually kind of amazing to see that view with a giant park in the middle of such a large, impressive city. Crazy.

We then had to rush to the Broadway show and ended up making it just in time.

It was a really good show, although some of the actors could use voice lessons (you could tell they got their part because of their acting abilities...)

After the show we went to the MET and went to the rooftop bar which had this amazing bamboo structure on top. It was so AMAZING! It was only held up by the bamboo and some string.

And here is a picture of me from the top of the MET.

Okay, so I have probably bored you enough, but it was a really fun weekend! Got to explore a lot of New York and I have the blisters to prove it (If you want to be in shape go live in New York... you have to walk EVERYWHERE!)
